About Me

Hello! Thanks for considering me as your dog walker. After completing my Animal Biology degree from the University of Stirling, I started working at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat home where I stayed for 4 years as a kennel assistant before moving on to Dogs Trust as an adoption advisor. During those years I worked with numerous different dog breeds, behaviours and temperaments. I’m a firm believer in Positive reinforcement training and am well trained myself in canine body language and health.

It’s at the rescue where I met my best friend in the world and the namesake of the business. Scout was a 9 year old Springer Spaniel who arrived in the shelter and instantly stole my heart. Scout had his quirks, he was extremely reactive to all animals and needed to be walked alone in areas where he could enjoy the fresh air without any triggers but he was also the most loving dog with people and made me laugh everyday.  I hope I can use this experience to help other dogs still experience the great outdoors. I am fully insured, DBS checked and I have completed an SQA accredited dog first aid training course to make sure all dogs stay happy and healthy on our walks.

FAQ’s

  • We have plenty of group dog walking slots everyday to choose from. A morning slot at 9am. A lunch time slot at 11am and an afternoon slot at 2pm. Please note your dog may be away from home longer than this due to pick and and drop off times. Appointments outside of the timeslots may be available upon request including solo walks and home visits. Just let me know what your requirements are and we will pencil in a time!

  • All group and solo walks last 1 hour, not including pick and and drop off. Dog visits include a short toilet break. If your pooch requires shorter walks please enquire about solo walks so we can cater to their specific needs. As wilderness explorers we will journey across the local parks, woods and beaches on our search for adventure!

  • With years of experience in the animal care industry I am happy to walk all breeds of dogs no matter the size. For our reactive dogs we offer solo walks where we will focus only on making sure your dog feels safe and happy to explore. To ensure your dogs safety a maximum of 4 dogs will be walked together in a group at one time.

  • A trial night is where your dog comes to stay overnight in our home while you are contactable, so that if your fluffy friend can't settle or stand to be apart from you we can quickly return them without any stress. All dogs boarding with us will be required to pass their trial stay before they are able to stay for any holidays so please contact with enough time for this stay to be arranged before you go away. Trial nights are charged at £20.

  • Drop off for all boarding dogs during the week starts at 4pm after my dog walks are done for the day. This allows your dog the whole evening to settle into their new digs with company before they head out on the next morning on the 9am group walk and make new friends. Earlier drop off can be requested for weekdays but may not be suitable for your dog if my 11 and 2pm group walks are full for the day.

  • If you're needing a later collection time for your dog which exceeds the 24 hour overnight stay rate, you will be charged the daycare rate of £20 for the extra time your dog stays with us.

  • Yes! Through our house visits/pet sitting services we are able to pop round to your feline friends and make sure they are cared for while you’re away. Visits include enrichment, play time, litter tray cleaning and administering any medication or feeds needed at specific times.

  • I will try to respond to any enquiries as soon as possible. If there is availability to join our Scout pack I will organise a time and date to pop round to meet your pet and make sure they are going to comfortable with me being their walker or sitter. Once introductions are done we will go through the contract together and sign all the important paperwork. Then the real adventure starts!
